It’s natural to compare their devices with the competition, and most companies do this at product launch events. Something similar happened with the launch of a new smartphone from Huawei –  Honor 8X , but unlike the usual trend, this time another company tried to pick apart Honor’s smartphone. After the launch of the Honor 8X, Xiaomi’s president Lin Bin took to Weibo  to compare the Honor newcomer with the recently launched Mi 6X , which has also been  refashioned as the Mi A2  outside China. Several  PUBG  players on Xbox One  started complaining  on the game’s official forums  and on Reddit  about an apparent glitch in the system that’s preventing some of the game’s achievements from unlocking. GameRant is also reporting  similar problems, and was apparently able to replicate many of those issues that have seemingly cropped up after the popular Battle Royale title  received a new update  earlier this week, officially ending the game’s beta phase. Many gamers have been reporting that their actions are only unlocking some achievements but not others. One such disgruntled player claimed that their  “1,000 kill achievement is slowly ticking over but I had 3 top 10 games today and fully boosted with meds but neither have registered” . Truecaller  has  announced  that it will now be able to auto-search contact information not saved in a user’s phone book for third-party messaging apps, such as  WhatsApp , Line, Viber and Telegram. According to a post on its official blog, users will only have to enable notification access to allow the app to look up such numbers. Activision and Treyarch have finally released the first trailer for the   Battle Royale mode called ‘Blackout’   in the next installment in the   Call of Duty   franchise,   Black Ops 4 . Prime Minister Narendra Modi has met with top  Uber  officials to discuss the future of mass mobility in India, the US-based ride aggregator has announced. According to an official press release, Eric Allison, the Head of Aviation Programs at Uber and Nikhil Goel, the Head of Product at the company’s Aviation unit, met the PM on Friday to discuss how a multi-modal mobility platform can contribute to the economy while helping reduce pollution and congestion. The meeting reportedly took place in New Delhi on the sidelines of the ongoing Global Mobility Summit, MOVE, which was inaugurated by the Prime Minister on Friday, and is being organized by the  NITI Aayog  to  ‘showcase innovation and build a platform to shape the future of mobility ‘. US President Donald Trump’s proposed $200 billion tariffs on China-make products will make  Apple Watch , AirPods headphones, HomePod smart speaker,  Macs  and key computer parts more expensive, the company has said. In a letter written to the US Trade Representative on Friday,  Apple  some of its popular products will get hit by the 25 per cent increase in import tax. Other products are Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, Apple Pencil, Apple adapters, chargers, cables and cords, Apple main logic boards with microprocessing units, memory modules, video graphic/audio cards and PCBAs, Apple computer parts (e.g., housings and internal components) and printed circuit boards, among others. “ Because all tariffs ultimately show up as a tax on US consumers, they will increase the cost of Apple products that our customers have come to rely on in their daily lives ,” Apple wrote in the letter to Trump administration.
