Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 series sales cross 1 million mark in just one month

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 series, consisting of Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro (review), created quite a buzz in the market post its launch last month in India as the new handsets offer some really powerful features at an affordable price point. On Wednesday, the Chinese brand announced that the combined sales figures for both smartphones have crossed the 1 million mark in just one month of release, which is an incredible feat, to say the least.



Raghu Reddy, the head of category and online sales at Xiaomi India said in the company’s release, “We are delighted to be sharing yet another wonderful milestone achieved by our popular Redmi Note series of smartphones. It is truly humbling to see the love of our Mi Fans towards the new Redmi Note 7 series that have set themselves a class apart from their segment of smartphones. This inspires us even more to further ramp up the supply for our popular Redmi Note 7 series and help all our Mi Fans access it easily.”

To recall, the salient features on the Redmi Note 7 Pro include a whopping 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor at the back and a capable Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 675 chipset. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 7 is powered by a Snapdragon 660 SoC and packs a 12MP+2MP configuration at the back.



As far as the pricing is concerned, the 4GB+64GB variant of the Redmi Note 7 Pro is available at Rs 13,999 and the 6GB+128GB variant is available for Rs 16,999 in Space Black, Nebula Red, and Neptune Blue colours through across Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home stores. On the other hand, the pricing for Redmi Note 7 starts Rs 9,999 (3GB+32GB). The 4GB+64GB variant costs Rs 11,999 and the phone is available in Onyx Black, Sapphire Blue, and Ruby Red colours via Mi.com, Flipkart, Mi Homes, Mi Stores and will be soon available across all offline partners.

MIUI 11  has been available in China for a short while now, but  Xiaomi  users outside its home market don’t have to wait long. Xiaomi could launch Mi MIX 3 5G on February 24th, ahead of MWC 2019

“While the Mi MIX 3 is pretty much certain to have a new 5G variant, the launch date remains debatable as of now.” Xiaomi is reportedly setting up to launch its first  5G-compliant smartphone , based on the Mi MIX 3, on February 24th. Word pertaining to the launch was shared on Twitter by user Ben Geskin, who is known to have tipped quite a few product launches in the past. However, the tweet has since been deleted, although the infographic that was shared has now been reuploaded online. To affirm, there is literally nothing in the invite that seems to suggest that the Mi MIX 3 5G will be launched on February 24th. It only reads ‘we make it happen’, along with Xiaomi’s company logo.
