LG has finally officially unveiled the  V40 ThinQ , a phone that’s been leaked numerous times over the past month. We already knew it would have five cameras, and a bunch of other high-end features. And now that it’s here officially, we don’t have to speculate about the V40 ThinQ. We’ll get to those five cameras later. The LG V40 ThinQ is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. The display is a 6.4-inch pOLED panel. This is LG’s so-called FullVision display and it has a QHD+ (3120 x 1440 pixels) resolution. The bottom bezel is 1.6mm thinner than the V30. LG has used what it calls a Silky Blast process to etch the tempered glass back with microscopic pits and create a smoother matte finish, to reduce the slippery feeling, plus it’s more resistant to fingerprints and stains. It wasn’t all hardware for Microsoft at its major event late last night, the company announced the October 2018 update for  Windows 10 , which has already started rolling out. As part of the Windows 10 October 2018 Update, Microsoft has announced an amazing new update to the  Your Phone app . Your Phone will soon be able to mirror any Android app or game from your phone to your Windows PC. Obviously, there are some restrictions: you need to have an Android 7.0 + device and the latest version of Windows 10, so if you use an iPhone with your Windows PC, you are out of luck. Screen mirroring means Your Phone will show your smartphone’s display, including notifications, any apps or games running on it, to the Windows 10 desktop in real-time with some latency, choppiness in videos or games, or delay as is expected in mirroring. You can even launch apps and switch to apps from the PC, which is something many mirroring apps also let you do, but having an official Microsoft alternative

Microsoft has announced Microsoft Launcher 5.0 and one of the most interesting features introduced by it is the arrival of  Timeline on smartphones . Originally  announced  in May, Timeline is now available as a preview feature on Microsoft Launcher 5.0 for Android, and will soon be available on iOS too. Timeline lets you resume tasks from the point where they left off by going back in activity history, such as opening a web page that you viewed a few days ago, or opening documents that you were working on yesterday, without having to hunt for the file. With Timeline’s arrival on smartphones, users can access their PC’s timeline on their Android or iOS device via the Microsoft Launcher. When you are signed in with the same Microsoft account on your smartphone and PC, the activity Timeline on both the devices will sync to provide a seamless experience. The idea is that it lets you jump back to any point of time in your workflow without losing out on any program data. OnePlus recently confirmed that the OnePlus 6T will feature an  under-display fingerprint scanner , at the expense of the rear fingerprint sensor. In an official forum  post , OnePlus co-founded Pete Lau explains how the under-display fingerprint scanner works and why it decided to include it now. Firstly, OnePlus 6T’s under-display fingerprint scanner technology is called  Screen Unlock,  and it employs a new optical module backed by multiple software algorithms and Qualcomm SoC security, to deliver a fast and reliable authentication experience. The optical fingerprint sensor is attached to the back of the display and has a small lens which registers the fingerprint pattern when users press down on the module. The  security and privacy   of Aadhaar has been under the microscope for the past year, leading many to challenge the constitutional validity of the national ID program. Today, the Supreme Court has delivered a landmark judgment and  upheld most of the provisions of the Aadhaar Act .
