Here we go, folks. Mobile gaming always seems to take great strides year after year. Last year, we saw a  huge push in niche genres like text games and indie puzzle games . This year, we saw a bunch of excellent games in the shooter, tower defense, rhythm, indie puzzle, and simulation genres. In fact, this might be the best year of mobile gaming that we’ve ever seen. There was just a bunch of new content from PUBG to Fortnite, Kingdom Rush Vengeance to Bloons TD 6, and even some excellent new RPGs. This is a long list, so let’s get right down to it. Xiaomi Mi Pay Beta Testing Starts in India, Countering Google Pay in the Country

Xiaomi originally launched an NFC-based version of Mi Pay in China It supports UPI, credit and debit cards, and Internet banking in India You need to be on a MIUI Global Beta ROM to test its presence Xiaomi has finally kicked off the beta testing of its Mi Pay digital payments platform in India. The Beijing-headquartered company has partnered with ICICI Bank and PayU to launch the Mi Pay platform in the country. Originally, Mi Pay debuted as an NFC-based payments service in China by partnering with China UnionPay. The India version of Mi Pay is similar to how Google Pay enables mobile transactions. However, unlike the Google Pay app in India, Xiaomi claims that its native digital payments platform supports not just UPI but also all "leading" credit cards and debit cards. While announcing the new development,  Xiaomi  in an official forum post on Wednesday  revealed that National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has cleared  Mi Pay  for large group usage.

India Gets Most Spam Calls; Scam Rate Doubled in 2018: Truecaller Report

Caller identification and spam blocking application, Truecaller, is among the top choices for apps that can be used to block misleading, scam or spam calls. Based on the usage patterns and reporting by users, Truecaller has identified key trends in terms of spam calls as well as a list of the world’s most spammed countries in its recent ‘Truecaller Insight Special Report’ for 2018. According to this  report  by Truecaller,  India is still the most spammed country  in the world with the highest number of total spam calls. In terms of spam calls per user per month, India stands second with Brazil taking the pole position, where the volume of spam calls has doubled in the last one year. In India, the per capita spam calls have reduced only marginally and  6.1% of the total spam calls received by Indians in 2018 were meant to spam  them, the  Truecaller report highlights. Huawei P30 Pro Case Renders Reveal Quad Rear Cameras, Smaller Notch

Huawei’s upcoming  P30 Pro  is all set to debut next year, but it looks like the company is not ready to give up the notch completely. The leaks have already started coming in, and while a previous leak indicated that the P30 Pro will feature a curved OLED display and a  38MP Sony IMX607  sensor, the new one says there will be three other cameras on the back as well. Retailer Mobile Fun has now listed the alleged protective cases for the upcoming Huawei P30 Pro and the P30, giving us a glimpse of their design and a few features. As per the renders on Mobile Fun’s  website , the most notable aspect of the P30 pro will be a vertically stacked quad rear cameras, accompanied by a dual LED flash module. If the renders of the P30 Pro covered in cases made by Olixar are anything to go by, the upcoming smartphone will also feature the so-called dewdrop notch with minimal side bezels and a small chin at the bottom. PUBG Mobile Gets ‘Zombies’ After Latest Update

Following the  PUBG Mobile-Resident Evil 2  tie-up, some players are reporting finding zombies in the popular battle royale game. The tie-up was announced last month at the PUBG Mobile Star Challenge finale. Many players on Reddit  reported seeing non-playable zombies around Erangel , one of the more popular maps in the game, as well as  bloody footprints and trails inside some homes . We still have no idea about when the new mode will be launched, and how it will play out. Lenovo Z5s With Snapdragon 710 Undercuts Nokia 8.1 and Oppo R17 Pro

Lenovo  has just announced its new mid-range smartphone in the ‘Z series’ in China called Z5s. As you can see, the phone comes in a variety of eye-catchy colors, and it is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 SoC. Unlike the  Lenovo Z5 Pro GT , this one is a mid-ranger with fairly decent specs and an attractive price tag. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds  a.k.a PUBG has got to be one of the most popular online games this year. Micromax Infinity N11, N12 with Helio P22 Launched in India; Start at Rs 8,999

Micromax recently began  teasing  the launch of a new smartphone that will feature a dual camera set-up and a notch. Today, the domestic smartphone maker has unveiled two new smartphones-  Infinity N11  and Infinity N12  – both of which feature a dual rear camera set-up and a wide notch. The Infinity N11 has been priced at  Rs. 8,999  while the N12 carries a price tag of  Rs. 9,999 , but details about their availability are yet to be revealed. Both the smartphones feature a glossy rear panel, with the Infinity N12 flaunting a dual-tone gradient finish while the Infinity N11 features a strip on the left side of the rear panel surrounding the dual camera module. The Infinity N11 and Infinity N12 pack a  6.12-inch HD+ display  with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a wide notch. Both the Micromax smartphones are powered by the  MediaTek Helio P22  SoC, however, the amount of RAM differs.
