Nokia 9 PureView’s Google Play Console listing confirms Snapdragon 845 SoC and 6GB RAM variant

“The Nokia 9 PureView will be the world’s first smartphone to offer a Penta-lens camera setup”

HMD Global is all set to unveil its latest flagship smartphone, the Nokia 9 PureView, at an event on February 24th, right before MWC 2019 kicks off. Ahead of the unveiling, we’ve already seen a number of press renders of the upcoming flagship. Just yesterday, the phone was spotted on Android Enterprise’s website, which revealed key details regarding the handset’s specs. Now, the Nokia 9 PureView has surfaced on the Google Play Console’s website, which has furthermore confirmed some features of the device.

According to the Google Play Console, the Nokia 9 PureView will indeed be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor, corroborating the earlier reports. The SoC will have four Qualcomm Kryo 280 cores with a clock speed of 2.45GHz, and four Kryo 280 cores with a frequency of 1.9GHz. The chipset will be paired with a Qualcomm Adreno 630 GPU that has a clock speed of 650MHz.

Furthermore, the listing suggests that the Nokia 9 PureView will sport a resolution of 1,440 x 2,880 pixels and a screen density of 560 DPI. While the Play Console hasn’t revealed the screen size of the phone, the listing on Android Enterprise’s website suggested it to be 6-inch. The listing on Play Console also confirms that the smartphone will arrive in a 6GB RAM variant, and will boot Android 9 Pie out of the box. A 4GB RAM variant of the device is also on the cards, as confirmed by Android Enterprise’s listing.

As per the earlier reports, the Nokia 9 PureView will flaunt an under-display fingerprint sensor and five rear cameras, which will be placed in a circular formation at the rear. The smartphone is expected to come with some advanced camera features like a 3D ToF sensor, 5x or 10x lossless zoom capability, a monochrome sensor, an ultra-wide sensor, a telephoto zoom lens, and a depth sensor.

The next-gen Nokia flagship is expected to boast 2K screen resolution. The phone is said to arrive in 64GB and 128GB storage variants. The smartphone is expected to ditch a 3.5mm headphone jack, and come with a USB Type-C port for data transfer and charging. A 4,150mAh battery is expected to keep the whole show running.
