Realme U1 receives a price cut, now starts at Rs 10,999

The Realme U1 is a budget smartphone from the previously OPPO owned brand, Realme, and has turned out to be quite a successful device in India. The phone went on open sale in December last year at a starting price of Rs 11,999. Now, the company has just announced that the Realme U1 has received a price cut and will be sold for a starting price of Rs 10,999. The price cut makes the phone an even better deal than before.

As mentioned earlier, the Realme U1 base variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage is now being sold at Rs 10,999. The higher model with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage is now priced at Rs 13,499, but it wasn’t in stock at the time of writing.


The price cut is already live on Amazon India and should be available on Realme’s official website and via offline retailers. If you were planning on purchasing the Realme U1, then this is a great time to do so. The 4GB variant should be available for purchase very soon and is a better deal since it gets a price cut of Rs 1,500. 


Realme U1 specifications


The Realme U1 is the latest budget smartphone from the company. It features a 6.3-inch full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a waterdrop notch at the top. The phone is powered by the octa-core Helio P70 chipset, which is paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. A microSD card slot is available for memory expansion. It has a plastic back and slim bezels all around with the display being protected by Gorilla Glass 3. 

At the back, there’s a fingerprint scanner and a dual-camera setup. The camera setup comprises of a primary 13-megapixel sensor, which is paired with a 2-megapixel depth unit. The camera supports HDR and utilizes AI to improve photography. On the front, there’s a 25-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture. This is also assisted with AI to provide great selfies. The device is equipped with a 3,500mAh battery and it runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
