Xiaomi Announces No 1 Mi Fan Sale; Discounts on Phones, Mi TV and Accessories

As we fast-approach the holiday season, Xiaomi is giving its fans one last chance to grab their products at a bargain price under the “ No. 1 Mi Fan Sale ” that commences on 19th December. It will be live until December 21, giving potential buyers the chance to grab offers and discounts on smartphones, Mi TVs, power banks, and other accessories. Xiaomi has decided to offer discounts on some of its popular smartphones, including the Redmi Y2, Poco F1, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Mi A2 ( that recently received a price cut ), Redmi Note 6 Pro, and many other recently launched smartphones. Xiaomi has also discounted its new Mi TV lineup, with Android TV and voice search, on board. Huawei Nova 4 Unveiled; First Phone With 48 Megapixel Camera

Samsung Galaxy  A8s may have been the first smartphone  to feature a punch-hole selfie camera, however, Huawei is not sitting ducks and has today launched the much-awaited Nova 4 in China. The Huawei Nova 4 is the  second smartphone to include a punch-hole camera display , coupled with a flagship processor, triple cameras, and a lot more. Price and Availability The Huawei Nova 4 features only a single RAM and storage configuration (8GB+128GB), but  different primary camera lenses . Thus, the low-end variant with a 20MP primary lens has been priced at 3,099 yuan (roughly Rs 32,250) and the high-end 48MP variant would retail at 3,399 yuan (roughly Rs 35,400). The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) amended the Mobile Number Portability (MNP) regulations to ease and quicken the process of portability. The timeline for porting a mobile number within the Intra-Licensed Service Area (Intra-LSA) or the  same circle has been limited to two days and that in a different circle or an Inter-Licensed Service Area (Inter-LSA) has been kept at four days. Further, the regulator also said a telecom operator would have to pay a penalty of not exceeding Rs 10,000 for any misinformation about the portability and each wrongful rejection of portability request. Alleged Xiaomi Redmi 7 With Teardrop Notch Gets Certified in China

Xiaomi’s Redmi 6 series was first  unveiled back in June  in China and released in India  three months later . And now it looks like Xiaomi is already preparing for the successor. Three new variants of what looks like the Redmi 7 series have been spotted on two of China’s regulator bodies –  TENAA  and 3C, suggesting that the launch could be around the corner. These variants of the supposed Redmi 7 series bear codenames M1901F7T, M1901F7E, M1901F7C of which only the first one has been certified by TENAA. Curiously, Xiaomi appears to be following the likes of Realme and Vivo as the display on the Redmi 7 could  sport a teardrop-style notch . As per the certification, the smartphone measures 147.76 x 71.89 x 7.8mm, which means its  slightly thinner than the Redmi 6 . Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 Plus Design Shown off Again in New Case Leak

Samsung has introduced both a smartphone with a  selfie camera hole and a  multitude of rear cameras , giving us a hint at what to expect from its forthcoming flagship Galaxy S10 lineup. Uber Will Double Its Indian Workforce With Increased Hiring in 2019

Online ride-hailing platform  Uber has announced it will double its workforce in the product and engineering departments, from over 500 to more than 1,000 ‘technologists’, at its Bengaluru and Hyderabad facilities next year. Uber  aims to hire full-stack teams that include product managers, product designers, data scientists, user researchers, mobile, front-end and back-end engineers, as well as Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) experts, the company said in a statement. “ In 2018, our tech teams grew by 150 percent and we are focused on doubling down again in 2019 ,” said Apurva Dalal, Head of Engineering, Uber India. According to the company, its tech centers in Bengaluru and Hyderabad are critical to the global mission of developing urban mobility solutions for everyone. “ Engineers are working on exciting areas of Customer Engagement, Rider access (next billion riders), Uber Eats, Maps, Marketplace and Data platforms ,” informed Dalal.
